"In an age when chart acts tend to be so blandly boring that they're virtually indistinguishable from one another, Castleton's own Alistair Griffin remains a charmingly eccentric exception to the rule.

It's hard to imagine Westlife being evacuated from their own gig wearing home-made space suits because the dry ice from their sci-fi themed entrance has tripped the smoke alarms. But the talented Mr Griffin did just that at a recent gig in York, although he promises to try and keep the audience in the building during this benefit gig for the Brian Clough Memorial Fund."
