Himeji VS Minami

Definetly Minami. I dont like hemeji. She is lame and annoying

I like Himeji more because Minami always hurt Akihisa by her moves...and for me the big boobs is not the reason why Himeji is not suitable for Akihisa..For me it is her attitude why she is better for Akihisa.. Himeji is nicer than Minami.. I hate the part where Minami stole Akihisa's first kiss..

No, himeji is good. I think she's the best for akihisa, she's much more gentle than minami :D

Guys.... seriously?! Himeji is NOT annoying or all those horrible stuff! I mean after Minami kisses Yoshii.... SHE CLINGS ONTO HIM! She was like TRYING to win obviously in front of Himeji! Himeji only talks to him to know more about each other.. sure... but does she.. umm.... let see..... do violence on Yoshii or kiss him in front of someone she knows ALSO likes that guy she kissed?! Did she do that? Did she try to get revenge? NO!! She ran away crying just to hide er feelings! If Yoshii didn't come after her... she would locked away her feelings and be sad for a long time!! You guys think like "Yeah, that's right Minami wins!" In my opinion, I think Minami wasn't being fair by kissing him directly and so sudden.... sure Himeji didn't think of that..... but she was smart enough to know it wasn't time yet because I bet she knew Minami ALSO liked him and wanted to do it a better time! So I suggest you guys don't insult Himeji like that! Nor Minami (yeah right, I don't even THINK no one insulted her)! Besides, Himeji was being very modest about her body and didn't kiss who she likes in front of someone cause she knew it would hurt the other people's feelings who also like that guy! She would have cried if you she knew about you guys insulting her! Besides I remember that on the last episode of the 1st season, Himeji tried to get an "F" in purpose just to hang out and talking to her friends. Just think.... giving up the "paradise" (kind of) and go instead to the "F" class...just to be wit your friends...! Also, even though imeji is shy it makes her cute and not annoying...!!! I even think Yoshii LOVES her like that!... By the way, I didn't mean to blame the people who liked Minami or Himeji and didn't say bad stuff both or one of them.... Sorry....

I like both, but I think Himeji is better for Akihisa, because even if Minami is all cool and that, Himeji shows pride among the others, she cares about her friends and shows respect, Minami rarely cares about anyone, she would get mad at Akihisa just because he calls her flat-chested, who cares if someone's flat-chested or not, I find it annoying that she always hits Yoshii, because I find it unfair to him, instead of just being like Himeji, so I find that Himeji plays fair and shows she's being gentle, so I go for Himeji.

Okay guys. First of all, I'm on Team Minami. Do you know why? Himeji is just your average cutesy girl that wins over ALL the boys. She got these giant boobs ( not that I care ) that makes everyone nosebleed. Himeji got this- innocent type attitude, with a smile and another smile. Even her "yandere" mode as seen on the Baka to Test Wiki, is not even really yandere. Shes just your average old day 'love love~' girl. Aki x Himeji is just terribly boring and stupid. Its not that I have anything against Himeji, its just that shes too perfect. Himeji has barely any flaws ( her satanic cooking is one of the flaws ). Shes over-all perfect. That my friends that are reading this, is a boring person. Its too plain and bland! While Minami is a real tsundere with a heart-warming back story with Aki. Minami x Aki is an interesting and funny ship, unlike another certain one. Sure, Minami hurts Aki. So? Its not really on purpose. I personally think Minami is just too shy to show her love to Aki so she just tries to show it this way. Isn't Aki a butt monkey ( look it up )? I would write more, but I'm too lazy. That's because before typing this I had another one with about 3 paragraphs right when I was about to post the answer my computer had a FAIL moment ಠ_ಠ and erased it all and everything.

for me, himeji is the best... :))

the main reason is that Himeji is just clone of the nice, sweet girl that the main guy falls in love with in every anime (a huge example is Rosario+vampire). It would be cool to see some mixin' it up. nobody wants to see the same girl type win all the time. it's plain boring! so i say GO MINAMI!!!!!!! LIKE A BOSS!!!!!!!!

I'm a Minami fan, but I don't think Himeji is a horrible character! She's nice and she's always so cute :) And youtube can have a lot of bad commenters...

I think minami and akihisa are both good couples because minami loves beating akihisa alot and shows that she really loves akihisa. She's even shy around him!

Minami. I gave her a thumbs up man, i ain't chosing Himeji. It's not that i hate her, but she's just annoying and her cooking is like a dish that being served at hell. Sorry.

I, myself, and a total Himeji fan (2nd to Hideyoshi), and I don't see what's bad about her. She's pretty, smart, and the girl who'll always cheer you up. I mean, I do like Minami, but, I see more going on with Himeji and Aki (If I was in Aki's place, I wouldn't fall for the girl who's somewhat trying to kill me) But, I'll list pros and cons for both girls:

Mizuki Himeji
Pros: Cute, Smart, Somewhat an angel
Cons: She has big boobs (not that it's bad, but some people don't like them)

Minami Shimada
Pros: Sisterly, Girl-Next-Door, oblivious
Cons: She's a killer O_O (well, not really, but she hurts people, mostly Aki)

I seem to agree with you on what you said: Hemeji isn't awful. Everyone says what they think. But I agree it wasn't completly nesscarey to describe one character that way. Hemeji is my favortie along with Minami so my opinion is quite obvious- I like them both.

Its not that I hate Himeji...i was actually a Himeji fan at the beginning...but the more i watched the more i began to like Minami...now I'm completely Team Minami...yes she is violent but mainly because Aki is so oblivious to the fact she likes him and says some weird thing to set her off...in my opinion Aki may have preferred Himeji at the beginning of the show but as time went on he began to gravitate more to Minami(of course the kiss, but also having more intimate moments with Minami in season 2)...i hope Aki finally realizes that Minami has been hiding her feelings about him and he tells her how he feels and picks her (then spend the rest of his life running from Miharu)

I for one like Minami better because I just think she prettier then Himeji even without the big boobs

3-and watch at the last episode...i think aki-san saw her as an adorable girl
4-when minami heard what aki-san really thinks about her :)

MINAMI. I think she's better because she's pretty nice as long as he doesn't insult her. (Besides, if Aki marries Himeji, he'll have to eat he cooking everyday.)

Himeji is not that bad shes nice kind and well behave.
For me shes not that anoying also not lame shes cool.
And yeah shes bad at cooking. But still stop the bad comments about her even though its just a anime. Definitely Mizuki. I think she's better than Minami. Both as a character and as a girlfriend for Akihisa ^-^

I'm sorry I have to disagree, I like Minami more. True she is more aggressive but she and Akihisa have much more of a connection and bond, true Hemeji and him have nice chats, but that isn't much compared to the history they have. And that episode where it shows him and Minami meeting and becoming friends is so sweet.

Well, here I go again. It's been a long time actually, so I might be a little rusty.

Okay, so after coming back to this after a VERY long time, I see a lot of new comments. Here's what I have to say to most of them…

Why are you shoving your opinions down people's throats?

See now, what I've done in the past isn't shoving anything down someone's throat. It was me explaining my side. What I see some people doing, that's different; they throw their opinion out at you, and they don't even explain it. I would like to see some kind of explanation, that might be helpful, which would lead to less fighting… but at the same time, I suppose it could also lead to more, but then those are just jerks.

Now, I've come across some comments. One is asking why I don't like Himeji. See, it's not about if I like her or not. I just don't have respect for her because of how the entire series went. On top of that, she's bland. She has no character.

Here's another comment that came by: theclassIdiot Himeji is perfect for Akihisa cause they both like eachoter very much, himeji is super cute, himeji makes akihisa happier then minami would, and all that together they make a perfect cute couple.

There's three things wrong with this. One, it's not that Akihisa and Himeji like each other, they're just obsessed. Two, being "super cute" has nothing to do with love. Three, Himeji actually does not make Akihisa feel happier than Minami would. I would say it's the complete opposite, but I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and say that they're about even. Here's why…

Akihisa's opinion changes extremely fast about both Himeji and Minami, which is why Minami's role in Akihisa's life is pushed up. Wait a minute, what does this mean? What it means is that as Himeji went down, Minami went up. You noticed how Akihisa thought of Himeji being practically an angel, right? Second volume, he stated (though to himself) that he might have to change his opinion of Himeji, which he does. Volume four, he changed his opinion of Minami completely, and even opens up to her to Miharu.

There was one more, but I actually forgot it. So let's continue. Why would Akihisa and Himeji be a bad pairing? It's simple. They have nothing in common. Literally. Here's a small reference. Akihisa is an idiot, but he excels at cooking. Himeji is smart, but is an epic failure as a cook. Why would Akihisa and Minami be a better match? Akihisa says it himself in volume four. Go read it. It's right at the end. Seriously, I'll wait.

Hey! I just remember what I forgot. Some people stated that the kiss that Minami "stole" was being "unfair." I believe a saying goes like "all's fair in love and war." How do you steal love from someone? That's what I don't get. I basically get everything else but that's! Explain it please.

Ok look I don't HATE himeji but I kinda dislike her I mean you will figure out why when you watch the first series really closely I mean every time Minami tried to do something with Akihisa, Himeji would barge in and tag along or what ever she keeps doing it constantly! It's so annoying! Also, people don't like Himeji because Akihisa thinks she's all little miss perfect and he admitted it to her! It's SO unfair because she has an advantage because Akihisa doesn't pay attention to her flaws! I am a Minami X Akihisa fan but still I'm speaking truth here! >.< Also, Himeji likes Akihisa because he's always cheerful and happy and nice and Minami likes (or should I say lives because she admitted it) Akihisa because he tried to be her friend when no one else did he CARED which makes her have a stronger reason to like him I mean no offense but who in the world would like someone just because there nice! I mean there's something ELSE you gotta love right?! Like what the heck! Oh and btw Akihisa doesn't only like her for her boobs >.> but still every times himeji makes me mad the more I dislike her >.< she should just stop getting so jealous! Some people say that himeji actually TRIES to tell Akihisa that she like him but no! She doesn't! Just watch the episodes carefully it's always MINAMI who tries but people always come in the way! (Mostly Himeji as you can tell when she tried to give Akihisa the bento) and that's what I think ^O^ (btw tsundere girls make the shows more interesting XD)my opinion o-o)

MINAMI FOR THE WIN!

Although Himeji is pretty cute, she's smart and has what every male in the anime wants, I get annoyed every time Yoshii acts like she's a princess and all, like how he calls Minami a lesbian or how he insults her, so when that particular episode when Minami kissed Yoshii, where the whole episode was directed to Minami and Akihisa in a romantic way, I was very thrilled, specially when everything I wanted to say about Himeji already got spilled by my favorite character herself.



And if it weren't for Himeji's cooking problems, she wouldn've been Mary Sue for me, plus she always acted as if she was a baby and that Akihisa was the only person she WANTS to follow.She was clingy in a way that I don't like. That's all.

After reading the other comments, I somehow realized that it's not the couple that I dislike, it's how Yoshii acts towards the other. It's unfair how he acts nice towards Himeji while he throws hurtful insults to Minami. Of course once you're offended you'll want to just hit the guy or girl with a bus or something in the face but the others can hide that as well- but I didn't say all of them can, Minami is one of the few people who can't. Have people here heard of Tsunderes? Ahh, well, I'm sorry you haven't. It's a typical thing for a tsundere to hit the person she likes, am I wrong?

PLUS if we all feel connected to the character, a character, the group of characters or whatever, we'll all feel something deep inside our hearts what the character is feeling.

HIMEJI ALL THE WAY! Minami is always hurting Akahisa and I honestly think Himeji's just perfect for Akahisa. I really think Minami shouldn't kiss him but oh well I guess. (go team Himeji)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I go for Mizuki, cause Minami doesn't really express her feelings, whenever she hurts Akihisa. Now as of how I've seen in the comments, many of you saw that Minami at some point, but the anime only reveals how and why Minami loves Akihisa, while Himeji hasn't really shown how she fell in love with Akihisa. The point is that none of you really respect of how Mizuki has feelings for Akihisa, I mean "Do you really know how or why she loves him. From what I've seen of Mizuki, it appears that she fell in love with him in elementary, as of when Akihisa gave her the rabbit hair clip, even so, it actually never revealed of how Akihisa felt towards Minami until episode 10, but have you realized that Akihisa actually hold feelings for Mizuki. So for me, Mizuki for the win!

I like Himeji's character. But honestly, I think she would make a boring girlfriend for Akihisa. Also, she's just too perfect- aside from her cooking. Minami's personality with Akihisa's go together so well and in MY opinion, would be so much more interesting. Although I feel like Aki will pick Himeji, I would much rather see him with Minami. I also think it would be funny if he ended up with Kubo, but thats a very unlikely.

Okay first...this picture here. I mean no offense but i do really like akihisa going out with minami. I mean (for minami fans) who could forget baka and test episode 4? Where minami gave her lunch box to akihisa. Look, himeji is not that bad, but for me she is just a regular girl who can make guys like her. I know that akihusa has things for himeji, but it is revealed that aki has things for minami too. And if i recall correctly aki is the first friend minami has the first time she is in japan , for me it is the point which makes me like minami better apart from her beatings, that she has a very sweet history with aki. And do you remember who bought minami the large Noin doll which cost the things confisticated by iron man, i mean its very sweet.

If I had to choose I would would pick both. Because if I don't.....Minami will break my spine in half....and Mizuki will try to feed me her food filled with rat poison.

Personally, Minami annoyed me, not to the extent of hating her, but I never cared for characters of her personality.

I always found Himeji to be kinder and I related to her character more than Minami.

Nope, Himeji is not a bad character for me... I actually like her. I like how the anime portray Himeji unlike that Yoshida girl from shakugan no shana. The one that I don't really like would be Minami. It happened for a grand total of 5 minutes. Watching, watching... then bam! I decided that I don't like Minami's character. I actually loooove tsunderes like shana (shakugan no shana), emi (hataraku maou sama), louise (zero no tsukaima) and many others. But Minami... she never strikes me as a tsundere, for me, she's just a violent character who's very clingy. When she kissed Akihisa, a surge of annoyance-irritation filled my chest. Hoho, that's just my opinion though (as well as my friends).

I honestly think the only reason people hate Himeji so much is because they believe she's a Mary Sue because she gets everything--the dramatic pink, flowing hair, the big breasts, the beauty, the moe, the amazing grades. People don't like her because they find her difficult to relate to and 'stereotypical' and 'boring'. People dislike seemingly perfect characters, and prefer imperfect characters

I like Himeji a lot, but she does tire me out sometimes. But she doesn't irritate me the way Minami does, simply because I don't like tsundere characters at all and how violent they are towards their love interest.

Realistically, I think Minami and Akihisa are much better as friends. Why would you want a boyfriend that constantly puts down your flat chest? Why would you want a girlfriend who has beaten you up on a daily basis? I just think they're not right for each other, and they have a much better dynamic as friends.

I don't think neither of them are good for him. I ship him and kubo all the way

sorry guy the only reason you really like minami is mainly because of the episode that shows her back story, moving is hard so a lot of people can relate. personally i like both girls they are great and develop great through out the series

I personally prefer Minami with Yoshii but I don't hate Himiji. I don't understand why people are so rude to her! She's sweet, smart, pretty, etc. and wants to be with Yoshii as bad as Minami. So insulting her is very rude. I wouldn't rage if Yoshii ended up with Himiji, I'd be very happy that two people who liked each other got together! SO the hate is for two reasons:
1) They want to call attention to themselves or their beliefs on the character's relationships. (most likely this)
2) They strongly dislike Himiji's character / personality
(or they're just mad)

After reading the comments i have to say why does mizuki gets so much hate i keep seeing because sheis annoying. How is she annoying? Because she has a big chest? Well i honestly don't know but mizuki is a great character and she doesn't deserve so much hate. But i do personally love both. Manami for her dere side and mizuki for her cuteness ^-^ but the choice is yours and i won't judge you for it.

No it's not bad actually

It's not that I hate Minami or anything but I just love the character Mizuki and I just don't understand why people are being so rude to her even if they are team Minami or they think she's annoying or think she's to shy. It makes no sense!!! I for one am team Mizuki because she is sweet and doesn't go out of her way to hurt the one she loves like someone. And I think it's annoying how people are talking about her chest like its the only thing guys like because maybe just maybe guys don't like being beaten up all the time and would just like to have a nice conversation with a girl that's not hurting him all the time. I think Mizuki should at least get a kiss or something from Aki just like Miami but instead of just taking the kiss like someone she will be nice and patient for him to be ready and take that step.

Ps I'm not against anyone's own opinions I just like Mizuki better and not really the hurting type of person but either way I and many others think Mizuki is a great match for Aki and really hope that our wishes will be answered if there is ever a season 3 or something. ;3

I actually liked this scene. Normally, I do go for the "bigger" girls, but in my eyes, tsundere pretty much beats anything. Too busty and being a dandere is usually a turn off

I would DEFINATELY choose Minami. Himeji is a boring character to me, shes always there with her bouncy boobs, her annoying voice and all her 'perfect' traits like being smart just because and pretty with her only defective trait being thats shes a bad cook, her story with akihisa feels like the basic love at first sight or blue prince kind of shit. With minami in the other hand it their relationship isnt just built out of nowhere but it develops, you can see that minami didnt just fall in love with him out of the blue but goes through the whole process from not liking him to starting to see him as a friend on until that forms into something deeper on her part, Akihisa while not trating her like some delicate princess does admit that shes very special for him too, because he can be himself with her. Now ive seen a lot of people talking about Minami being unfair with himeji or being too violent with Akihisa, lets discuss. Minami isnt unfair about kissing aki, during that episode she believes her feelings are going both ways because of Akihisa's confession issue and the guy isnt even taken in the first place so i'd say it falls in legal ground. About the unfairness with himeji... C'mon now, everytime she tried to confess or come close to akihisa, himeji would invite herself over, butting into most of their momments together, Meanwhile Minami did let her have her time with him. And for those who say that shes mean make me wonder if we watched the same thing, she wasnt mean all the time, in fact she was mostly a sweet girl until akihisa (knowing it bothers her) made fun of her inteligence and chest all the time, im not saying its ok to break his bones but you guys act like akihisa is a white innocent dove and she's this mean violent bully.. he knows with what hes dealing.. and i wouldnt really expect her to sit around with her arms crossed as he makes fun of here litteraly every chance he can.
