I love the movie, but I'm going to have to agree with Ceci that it probably wouldn't be the best fit. (For instance, Sophie spends a large part of the movie as an old woman.) posted over a year ago.

	MelodyLaurel picked No!: The funny thing is that the story this is based on has nothing to do with Japan. It's written by a British author (hence all the Western names the characters have). But I do agree that the Miyazaki movie adaptation is far too popular and remaking it would no doubt attract criticism from its fans (not to mention that its plot would not be suitable for a Barbie movie at all). posted over a year ago.
