does anyone know any books that have mystery, magic, adventure, some funny bits, and is not too scary??

Maybe you could check it out "Graceling" or "Fire" by Kristin Cashore, I just finish them and it´s a good reading, they are not all magic like Harry Potter but it has fantasy. They are very entertaining

The "Bartimäus"-series by Jonathan Stroud for example...I read it when I was 14 and loved it....it's so cool how the demon comments everything in his own sarcastic way

And of course "Inkheart"-Trilogy by Cornelia Funke

You might enjoy the Uglies series by Scott Westerfeild, It doesn't have magic per say but it is based in the future so it has lots of cool things like hoverboards in it.
Then there's the Inkheart series by Cornelia Funke, that has all the things you mentioned with lots of adventure, magic and mystery. :)
