Anything by Rick Riordan.
The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya. Seriously, it's a light novel from Japan that was translated into English, and it's about everything you just asked for. The main character, Haruhi, is a god, and she's the only one that doesn't know it out of their little group. Yuki Nagato is an alien. Mikuru Asahina is a time traveler. Kyon is a Slyder, but that only happens during, like, book four, and he doesn't know it yet... Oh! And Itsuki is an ESPer, or a normal human with exceptional powers.

I haven't read it but I've heard that 'Destined' by Jessie Harrell is good. The synopsis is this:

When Psyche receives a prophecy gone horribly wrong, she learns that even the most beautiful girl in Greece can have a hideous future. Her fate? Fall in love with the one creature even the gods fear.

As she feels herself slipping closer into the arms of the prophecy, Psyche must choose between the terrifyingly tender touch she feels almost powerless to resist and the one constant she's come to expect out of life: you cannot escape what is destined.
Destined is a fresh and heartachingly romantic retelling of the Cupid & Psyche myth from debut novelist, Jessie Harrell.

And of course anything by Rick Riordan is amazing. He's like the king of mythology meets modern day.

All of the above and Runemarks by Joanne Harris. If you're into dragons, then something like Dragon Keeper or Eragon.
