Books to Read Question

Are there any books with well developed lesbian protagonists where their sexuality isn't the main focus of the story?

I usually like fantasies but I'm willing to try anything. I'm just sick of the whole "coming of age" shtick or the coming out and dealing with one-dimensional characters whose only purposes are to hate on them for their sexuality.

I've heard the Dark Wife is a good one. Anything else?

This is a bit of a spoiler, but in the Gemma Doyle trilogy two of the four main girls turn out to be lesbian/bisexual and love eachother. It plays a very small part though, and I dont think we even find it out until near the end of the third book.

inorite, it's annoying as hell. But like I said. The Dark Wife is supposed to be good, and that's about all I've come across.
