Do you know any books about peoples dealing with life after some accident especially about losing ability to walk for good or some time but can be other too. Really need it for some project and I'd be very grateful.
It's not exactly what you want but Face by Benjamin Zephaniah is a book about a boy who was involved in an accident and his features became disfigured. It then shows you his life, coping with his disfigurment: e.g. bullies at school.
Does it have to be nonfiction or not? Because I've read this book called "Stuck in Neutral" by Terry Trueman. It's in the mind of a teenage boy, about 15-17. The boy in the book had a blood vessel burst when he was born. He lost his ability to move anything; his legs, arms, head, even his mouth.
And he thinks his dad wants to murder him because of how hard his life was after he was born.
Suspenseful and very sad =( It's a very good book, and it's not too long.
"Izzy's life had been colorful as a pretty, popular cheerleader, but she has to learn how to survive after a car accident results in the amputation of her leg."
I read this book back in the middle school and loved it. It's a little dated (80s) but still would certainly work for your project.
Also check out "Between a Rock and A Hard Place" by Aron Ralston. It's a true story, and he talks about having to survive after having to cut off his arm to survive. You could also check out the memoir by Bethany Hamilton (the girl whose arm was bit off by the shark). That memoir is called "Soul Surfer".

The adoration of Jenna Fox. She wakes up from a comma and has to deal with it. It;s science fiction though so I'm not sure if its what you want but the wings of Kitty st clair is about a girl losing her voice
