Buffy the Vampire Slayer Question

I've got an 18th birthday soon and I'm intending to go as Buffy. I've never watched the show so I'm looking for some costume advice from devoted fans.

That's interesting! Just out of curiosity, why do you want to dress up as Buffy if you're not a fan?

in answer to Cinders' question it's mainly to piss off my friends who are into to this whole regency thing. My friends 18th was a pride and prejudice and zombies theme.

You should probably where a white shirt (she wears white a lot) and a black leather jacket (like the one Angel gives her.) Tight pants and you should have you hair pulled backed. Hope this helps

Don't forget to wear the cross necklace and the claudaugh ring (if you can get it). Also, carry a stake.

fair enough, the clothing coming from the show is fascinated, "different", but deffinitely costume worthy....
she often wears cute, short dresses with leather jacket, link

OR: theres the cute tanktops, etc....

and, this isn't Buffy in the picture, but the uniform is the same, you can go for a "sunnydale high" cheerleading costume:

either that, or, my personaly favourite, find a hot, brooding, sexy guy, and hang onto his elbow the whole time (this guy would be angel) :D ...

heh lol, hope this helps, and hope its not too late :)

Buffy's wardrobe is all about simplicity. Of course her shoes aren't always sensible for slaying but hey, that's her perogative. Her clothes vary from fight to fight but the thing to remember is the art of layering.

The basics:
Lots of leather or denim for jackets, jeans, tank tops are big topped with a blouse or fahion forward tee. Shoes are a little bit different, go for either a pair of black boots with a thicker heel or some other dressy/comfortable shoes.
