i also agree with adoption. there are too many kittens and cats in shelters that really need a home. it shouldn't matter what kind of cat it is, just that the kitty needs a loving and caring home

Okay, the color doesn't really matter. You should get a 4 month old that's already neutered and is very friendly. Make SURE it's not sick. Males may be nicer, but you never know. Make sure it has no fleas and has all of it's shots done. Getting a cat is a wonderful thing!!!

Yeah, that's right. Usually the people who nurse them and do that profesioanally do all the work in the beginning - toilet use, feeding, hygiene...But still there is a lot of thing people need to learn before getting a cat...or an animal, doesn't matter.

It really depends on what sort of qualities you're looking for because certain physical characteristics and personality traits vary from breed to breed.
Although in general, I recommend adoption. There are far too many homeless kitties that need someone to love them.

Or cats. The older ones never get adopted because they aren't kittens anymore. That's sad

I agree with that statement so much that it should be in the bible. I follow adoption to the ends of the earth.

I do recommend adoption from your local shelter, as it saves a life and it may be less expensive to get a cat/kitten from the pound than from a breeder.

I do say that getting a kitten may be easier than getting a cat because the kitten may grow up in its environment more easily and it can become more accustomed to the ones that live there, but that's just me.

I personally don't think that breed should matter. It is your choice, and if you do go the a shelter, then your choices may vary.

Now if you were to consider getting an adult then I suggest that you take note if you want it fixed or not. If you want to breed cats, then don't get them neutered/spayed. However, for unneutered males, it may become a nuisance because they have a tendancy to sneak out of the house and follow a female's trail, or pee on everything.
