midnight saying that "at the end Damon said he loved elena on his deathbed?

If you want a spoiler..well actually the little boy knew her name but didn't know WHAT nickname to call her..To me that seemed like a very Bamon-y moment esp at the fact yes Damon KNEW Elena's name, BUT he's always calling her his 'princess of darkness' she just became Elena. He seemed to have no emotional attachment to the name he'd attributed her..it was a sign of perhaps saying very subtly that he'd recognized her but he didn't know why she was so important to him. Whereas, Bonnie completes Damon's sentence and he's so relieved that he reveals his true thoughts once more on her: she's so clever. Just because he didn't say her name didn't mean he didn't feel something for her. In fact, I'd say he felt more because he felt he needed to call her by that special nickname one more time :) Hope I helped!
