Do you think there should even be an American death note?

No. Please no. I'm not saying just america im talking about anyone other than Tsugumi Ohba and takeshi Obata IDC if they r japanese as well I don't want no1 but the creators touching death note (original)

yes yes yes YES!!!! ... ...sorry, but no matter what i do, i can't even FIND the japanese movies. and besides, i've seen some of the charictor pic.s from the movie and they look NOTHING like the anime charictors. (exept L, they hit the nail on the head with that one)

Actually, yes. Some of the characters, like Near and Mello, ARE AMERICAN! They aren't Japanese. But in the movie, Near is. I'd like to see them correctly portrayed. I think the American version would stay true to the characters as well, like seeing MATT AND MELLO, who were excluded from the Jap. version.

Sure! Why not? I mean, I want it to be in a series. Something that people would also be interested in watching it, like the other famous series in America such as Gossip Girl, Vampire Diaries, etc. And I'll watch it, promise :D

I think they should because it seemed like Deathnote just died. :(

Well, I would love a another DN movie..but if Americans fuck it up, I'm suing.... >:P

Personally, i think its a great idea. i havnt finnished the series yet(on episode 32..almost there!) and ive only seen pics from the live action japan, but i think if they put in the right amount of time and effort itll turn out great! oh, and as long as they dont use washed up disney stars(dragon ball z) and internet kids( the last airbender) in the cast, it shoud work out;)

Both the Japanese and the Americans should just leave it, to, the anime and manga!

I don't know, honestly. I think it would be nice to see an American movie for it, but it might suck, so I'm conflicted.
