I kind of support him...But I also don't. I can see his point in all of this, and I might do something similar if I picked up a Deathnote, but I guess I can't say I support him all the way.
The thing is, at first, he had the right idea, and if he had left innocent people out of it always, then his actions wouldn't have been so bad. Though, I can't say that was his fault.
I have a theory on people who use the Deathnote. I think it brings up a person's bad sides, and makes them increasingly worse. As an example, Light became increasingly more arrogant, and his god-complex he probably had buried deep in his person came out.
Also, Mikami had a black and white view on justice, but even before he received his Deathnote, it became even more warped because of Kira. He also became a bit obsessive. Though think of it like, a religious person's god sends them an item and a request..Who would refuse if they truly supported that god?
I think I might be going off topic..But the point is, I kind of support him, and I kind of don't.
