Is there a death note movie American version?

There are some rumors about it, and in fact a movie poster. Though, nobody i know, knows for certain (and if they did, they'd obvously need some valid proof lol). IMDB says there is, but they only have the cast information -last time i checked.
So, if it iz true, it's definitly not close to coming out (ppl do say it will be out this year though), let alone a preview.
