Can I still upload straight to Fanpop, or has that train sailed? I feel like such a loser asking this question... be gentle!

No, it's a legit question. We used to offer the service, but the company that provided it for us changed its business strategy and dropped the service earlier this year.

As per Germany123, it's easiest just to post it to youtube and then link it here.
