Do you think the referee was fair in the match between the USA and Slovenia?

Is it only me, or did anyone else have a problem with the call outs that referee gave against the US? He called a yellow card on a US player for a handball...but the ball hit his hand after he had fallen to the ground. Also, though the US scorred a THIRD GOAL, he refused to grant them a point!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He said it was a "foul." He was passing himself off as a jerk, though I doubt he actually is one. However, he CERTAINLY CANNOT oversee a game correctly. What's your take on it?
