I've always thought about this and mulled over which songs should get the sacred status of being a music video and which ones shouldn't have. I hope I don't slam anyone's fave music videos because these are just my opinions.
1. ANIMAL
Animal is such a good song and their performance of it at the concerts is my favorite. The choreo of the song is spectacular and I really wish we could've seen that as a music video instead of Oh!. The Japanese version of Oh! just seemed rushed together and I'll never understand why Run Devil Run and Hoot made it to the 1st Japanese Album instead of Oh!
2. TRICK
A lot of people don't like The Boys and I will usually be the one to defend it because I like the song, but Trick was a much better track and it's a shame that it wasn't promoted. I wish Trick could've been a music video instead of the English version of The Boys.
3. THE GREAT ESCAPE/ YOU-AHOLIC
Those two songs are among my favorite SNSD songs, so I may be a little biased towards them. I feel that they were stronger songs than Bad Girl and (please don't kill me for saying this) Mr. Taxi. I believe I am in a very small minority of people who didn't like Mr. Taxi considering it's one of Soshi's most viewed videos on YouTube, but that song just wasn't very good to me.
4. LIPS/MOTORCYCLE
My desire to have these two songs to be music videos kind of stems from my dislike of Love and Girls and Galaxy Supernova. Love and Girls is an alright song, but I don't think it's great enough to have the music video even though it was fun to watch. On the other hand, Galaxy Supernova is a really great song, but the music video just felt like a three minute and thirty second long advertisement for the jeans they were wearing. Also Lips is probably my favorite SNSD song of all time, so again, I may be a little biased.
5. LOVE SICK
I just really like Love Sick and wish more people would talk about that song off of TaeTiSeo's album. I don't really have a solid argument for this one.
Anyway, so what songs do you think should a music video and which shouldn't?
