Honestly, i'm seriously disapointed. i HATE hip hop, it's fucking stupid and repetitive.
i may change my mind since it's SNSD, who knows? maybe i'm gonna like the song. but right now, i just...can't. why? they should make a rock concept, something more powerful than this and that would showcase their voices more. but no...we will have another rapping lines, and i'm so sure of who will it be, i don't have to be a genie to guess...Hyoyeon, Yuri or Yoona
besides, Sooyoung isn't very suited for hip hop(not that i remember) so I KNOW she will be at the back for most of the time, even if she improoved
this will probably be Hyoyeon's time to shine, but still...i don't like hip hop, i never will

I admit that anything outside of pop for SNSD, is really pushing them to see how good they are. I have A few pros and cons for this, if it is true or not.
Here is what I think:

1.New Concept- I don't think everyone in the group and pull off this concept genuinely. With hip hop its not just singing but also attitude. I think only the rappers in the group could be good at this because they are the only that can show some attitude, obviously hyoyeon would excel in this concept. I think Taeyeon and Seohyun would struggle with this concept because they don't show a lot of emotion on stage as it is, and hip hop unlike pop isn't something that can be done half-hearted.

I think everyone else would be fine at this wither it be in vocals or dancing. I think Hyoyeon, Yoona, and Tiffany may be able to pull of the hip hop vocals but as far as dancing goes I give it to Sooyoung, Yuri, Sunny, and Jessica, even though I am hesitate to include Jessica because she isn't the most passionate dancer.

2. Better dances- The best thing about hip hop is that usually there are great dances to go with it and maybe we will see new talent from the underrated members like Seohyun and Sooyoung.Seohyun does any choreography well but I want her to show attitude as well. With Sooyoung she has all the attitude but I don't think Hip hop will come easy to her, but I genuinely think if she practices she can pull it off.

I think that Sunny is 50/50 because she dances ok when it comes to their choreography as of late I think she would probably get into the song and probably be good at dancing it like The Boys but she still makes minor mistakes so I am iffy.

We all know that Hyoyeon, Yuri, and Yoona can do hip hop well but I think an actual hip hop concept would help bring other members into the play. I am worried about Taeyeon and Tiffany on this one though, because they aren't very good dancers or better yet not the most passionate when they dance, I guess I can even put Jessica on my list of worries too.

If there is one thing I can say I don't like about this concept is the idea that this may just be another pop song with some rapping, which is hardly hip hop. The Boys is probably one of the worst SNSD songs but people like it because all the members actually loo pretty for once. But the dance was ehh and the singing (aside form Seohyun high note) nothing impressive. The rapping was different, disappointing but different.

I don't want this to be a beauty pageant where the emphasis is on their looks and not their talent. I have a feeling that I will probably be more interested in what they looked like in the mv rather than the song or the dance. Its a hit or a miss in my opinion. It may be really good or it may not be. There was hype about paparazzi but its was mediocre after the first week or two.

These are Snsd's weak points
Surprisingly, these are Hip Hop's main points

No one in the group can rap and only half the group can dance to hip hop music, it would be a waste.
