Tiffany has a pretty voice but she isn't that good of a singer

Taeyeon- Not overrated she kinda earned her popularity as a good singer

Jessica-kinda earned her popularity as a good singer and the personality she sells

Sunny- earned her popularity by variety shows and the personality she sells

Tiffany- I guess in some ways she has earned her popularity but I think it is from being pretty and her personality not really her singing

Hyoyeon- popularity comes from her skills in dancing so she is well deserved

Yuri- i guess in some ways she has earned her spot but its kinda short lived sometimes because she is known more for her personality and her dancing, with the dancing part slowly dwindling

Sooyoung- I don't know what she is very popular in specifcally but I don't think she is very popular for no reason because she doesn't do alot of indivudal work

Yoona- well earned popularity because she is always in CF, magazines, and dramas.

Seohyun- Well earned popularity for her part in TTS and such

The only people who may not be as deserving is Tiffany and Yuri because only one member should be popular because of her looks and that is Yoona. Both Tiffany and Yuri aren't pro at thier respective skills and it seems that people like them now for what they look like not what they can do. Tiffany is a weak singer and Yuri is becoming a "forgetful" dancers

^because her voice and dance skills aren't that good. Let me explain, Yoona is not a main or lead vocalist so her being able to sing is not that important because she is a dancer and a good one, she does her role best. Its like someone said Yoona is overexposed but overrated, she earned her popularity by being what she was meant to be, the image. She isn't bragged about (hopefully) for being the best singer or even the best dancer, since that really isn't why she is in the group.

A friend told me Tiffany got vocal nodules from over abuse of her voice twice, she her vocal skills in a technical level aren't that good. She has a great singing voice, truly. However lets be honest she uses as much backtrack as Yoona does on stage, and Yoona isn't a main singer. So lets be real here. How is more overrated a singer who uses backtrack alot but is still called a good singer, or a dancer using backtrack all the time.

Its the same with Yuri. Yuri is in the group to dance, so if there is something she shouldn't screw up in its that. Being overrated doesn't mean you hear their name more often than others, it means that person is overly praised for their work. Does that make sense, granted I know Tiffany isn't my fave member but I do like her she is sweet but I am being honest here.

^In some ways Yuri because of her decline of dance skills everyone else is either truly underrated or neutral. I mean Tiffany isn't that overrated she is just the most, so I guess Yuri, or Sunny because she also isn't that good of a singer but I cut her some slack because she was praised in her musical. But if I had to chose it could be Sunny or Yuri because they haven't improved much in comparison to the others

i dont know, because i still dont exactly understand what "overrated" means..
