Am I one of the few that doesn't think Hyoyeon is underrated?
Sure, she doesn't get praised and many lines in songs and her beauty isn't considered beauty, but many fans think she's the best dancer in Kpop.
Sunri however, barely get praised and are under the shadows of the other members.

^ No, I also don't think she is underrated at all. She has the least singing skill in the group and from what I hear on every album it doesn't seem like she is trying to change that. I can at least say Yoona, Sooyoung, and Yuri (more so Soori) want to take thier singing seriously. While she is the best dancer, that seems to be all she is good at, so it makes sense SM doesn't let her do much outside of dancing mainly.

I don't think any member is underrated, at least not anymore. I have been keeping my eyes on the YooSooRi group because since Mr Mr I have noticed thier singing has gotten better, the later mostly. I give it maybe two more comebacks and I may actually give them due credit.

Taeyeon isn't underrated she is a singer but can dance and we all know that

Sunny while I love her; her better performances are always outside the group, so at least her skills are being utilized even if its not in the group.

Seohyun/Tiffany, we all know she is a good singer not much in the dancing department


Beauty isn't something that makes someone overrated or not, Yoona has a face that most koreans find ideal thus she is considered the prettiest....that isn't being overrated that is basic logic.

^^ I could give the chance to Sunny, since she was the vocalist that got the least lanes, but she got many covers from Jessica. Also, she has an issue so she can't dance properly, so people has her low at the moment in dancing (is like Taeyeon would get mute, you can't still say she is the best at it). She also got the musical and the radio host recently.

About Yuri, I wouldn't say the same. Maybe before Mr Mr, but not anymore. She is the dancer that sang the most in Mr Mr (song), even if she wasn't able to handle them live. And she got many Jessica's covers (this time she could hold them, hopefully). She was in 2 MVs this year as far as I remember, and she got some magazine covers.

When was the last time Hyoyeon did something? Dancing with the stars, that was shared with Yuri. And a Nike event.

^that is why its hard to say a member is underrated. The question you have to ask yourself aside from dancing, what else can she do? She had that variety show IY2 but she didn't get much popularity from it, not to mention her recent scandal.

^^ I honestly don't get why soo many people think Yuri is really bad at singing. She definitely got worse after debut, but I thought she did pretty good in Mr.Mr. I could hear her and understand her clearly...except sometimes she would mumble. I really don't understand why some of the people here say she cannot handle the lines she was given. It was given to her for a reason, like the other member's line were give.

Also, Hyoyeon did Dancing with the stars by herself. I know what you meant, but I just wanted to correct you...sorry. HyoYul did Dancing 9 together, but you can see how many people liked Hyoyeon. Also, like Tiagh2 said, Hyoyeon is only really good at variety and dancing. Except, snsd barely go on variety shows nowadays. Even still, Hyoyeon is always praised. Yuri is barely ever getting praised for dancing. She did good covering Jessica's lines but only a few people commented on how good she did but others complained that it didn't go to Soo or Sunny(Not only here) I find it unfair for Sunri most times...

^I will say this....its only recently that Yuri has shown a sign of as spark in her singing and dancing...and by recent i mean *whisper* since Sica left *whisper*

^^^I have to completely disagree, Yuri got better at singing after Jessica's left, before I barey heard her. She was breathless in her first line, not to mention second.

So Dancing 9 was with Yuri, and Dancing with the starts alone? I'll take note.

Oh, and I have to mention that I think that Hyoyeon did a pretty good job during Mr Mr promotions and that's why I think that she's better than Yuri.

At least Sunny's the DJ for MBC's radio program and she's in Roommates while Hyoyeon, she doesn't have much solo activities.

sunny and hyoyeon are the most underrated member. but sunny has some aegyo that makes people still love her

I don't think Sunny's underrated in general as of now, because of her DJing and she's in a reality show. These days, I think Hyoyeon and Yuri are underrated. I don't see them doing activities...

^ i agree on the Sunny bit, however I don't think not having activities makes you underrated. People have to want to invest or hire you, Yuri can dance and act (though not known for it) all Hyoyeon can do is dance.

i think Sunny is the most underrated member in snsd. she might be a DJ and also in Roommates but other than these she doesn't have anything to do. Solo? Never mind. We can just see how her popularity is decreasing as she is getting very little lines in the recent songs. also SM never brings her in the spot light and doesn't even bother about her.

Hyoyeon- i don't consider her that underrated. she is pretty and good at dancing. she receives all the praise just through dancing. yeah, maybe she doesn't have a solo career and her chances of being an actress is low, but i still think that she is in a better position than Sunny.

^ actually Sunny's popularity has gone up since her DJ job and appearance on Roomates. She will be getting more lines since Sica is out, just some food for thought.

Sm just doesn't know what a good singer best dancing ok at learning language pretty and funny and not lazy and passionate in dancing and performing live. So I pick hyoyeon
