Gossip Girl Question

So I'm a little confused about 'VALLEY GIRLS'?

I don't get what's it gonna be about, is it gonna be a whole show about the spin-off with none of the GG Cast? Or is it just a little bit of the spin off and it will be like any other episode?
Cos if it hasn't got Chuck, Blair, Serena, Dan and the rest of the characters I wont bother watching it!

If I remember rightly, the flashbacks are triggered by a song by a band called Adam and the Ants, which is being covered by No Doubt who will appear in the episode... I think they're playing at prom.
