I really have not watched Gossip Girl before, but I would like to start. What episodes should I watch to catch myself up?

You should watch EVERY episode,in order,so of course starting with the pilot.

WATCH OUT FOR CHUCK AND BLAIR FANS,THEIR GOING TO TELL YOU TO WATCH CHAIR'S BEST EPISODES BECAUSE THEY THINK GOSSIP GIRL REVOLVES AROUND THEM!

If you want to watch only a few then i suggest,
1x01 The pilot- (just to get to know all the characters)
1x07 Victor Victrola
1x08 Seventeen candles
1x13 A thin line...
1x18 Much i do about nothing

Season 2
2x01 Summer kinda wonderful- it sets the scene for season 2.
2x07 Chuck in real life
2x08 Pret a Poor J
2x12 Its a wonderful lie- you can get away with reading a synopsis of this, but if your a chuck blair fan you will want to watch it!
2x13, 14 and 15- all relevant...

dont forget to read all the synopsis/summaries of the episodes you choose not to watch!
then you'll be up to date with most of us!

It is vitally important to watch every episode. Because Gossip Girl is so twisted and building up on each episode that even if you miss one, you might not understand the rest.
I would watch everything, if I were you. There are not as many episodes anyway. 35 all together. That's not that much.

OH wow. I would watch all of them if you could...but if not, the highlighted ones might be...1x13, 1x18, 2x01, 2x08, 2x13, and 2x15...but you're still missing SO much...I would try to watch them all if you could.

If i were u,i'd try to watch every episode in the GG TV Series. =)

Watch them all. I mean it. It's not some soap, it really is a series so I think every episode is kind of important.
