Does anyone know how blake livley became a star of gossip girl?

well in this one cast interview josh said that before casting they went online & read some message boards where everybody was like BLAKE LIVELY WOULD BE THE PERFECT SERENA so they called her, she auditioned for them & yeah.

The same way all actors find roles: she has an agent who has contacts in the business who gets her auditions and takes requests for her.

She auditioned I'm guessing. lol

I MEAN HER AGENTS TOLD HER ABOUT IT AND SHE AUDITION LIKE EVERYBODY, AND THEY CHOOSE HER.

I'm pretty sure that THEY (Josh & co.) called and asked her to audition for the part. She wasn't sure, because she wanted to make movies, not TV-shows, but in the end she accepted.

IDK tho, I just remember hearing this in an interview or something.
