I think he did love her in season1. Then he used her to stay in the Upper East Side and become one of them...since season 2 he hasn't loved anyone more than himself. I hate that he has turned to such an awful person...

I don't believe he loved her at all because if he did then he would still have respect for her. Dan is getting to see Serena's flaws and he can't accept them. So if you never loved her flaws then he doesn't love her at all. He never understood her as a person. Dan rushed his relationship with Serena to fast in season 1 before getting to know her.

I think that dan just loves the illusion he has of all the girls he ever dated.He is just creating an image of them and thinks that he actually loves them.I think he did it with serena and blair

Of course he oved her, but he doesn't anymore. Of course he idolised her in some way sin the beginning, but I believe he really grewto love her. He helped Serena in so many ways and mostly was great for her.

And he fell in love with Blair knowing who she was and everything that she had done. He knew her best and worst sides and still loved her, not the image of her.
