I can't choose. None of them seem like good moms to me. Elenor's OK now, but she was'nt before the pilot and in s1. It's definitely not Lily. If Lily was a good mum, Serena would'nt have been the party girl that she was before the pilot or the drug addict that she turned into at the end of season 5. She(Serena) also would not have slept that many guys, if Lily thought her good values. I think it's Lily's bad parenting before the pilot that turned Serena into the person that she was before the pilot. Plus, i think it's because of her bad parenting that Eric tried to kill himself before the pilot. Both Serena and Eric have said that she was hardly ever there for them and she was always too obsessed with the men in her life to focus on them. To be fair to her, she had to raise Serena and Eric all by herself. If Serena's irresponsible dad was in her life, maybe he would have helped Lily control her and she would'nt have become the person she was before the pilot. She'd probably also not be making the bad choices she's making today. But Lily's changed since then, and she's generally a better mother now.
Cece is'nt any better than Lily and Elenor either. If i had to pick, maybe i'd go with Carol. She lied to Charlie about her family and never told Charlie who her dad was(Charlie found out from William that he was her dad), but other than that, i think she did a better job than the other 3. Atleast she did'nt raise a spoilt brat. Now that you think about it, she was'nt completely out of line in keeping Charlie away from the UES, if you look at how spoilt the kids turn out.
