I'd say Serena, Blair, and Jenny would be because they all have their catty moments. I picked Serena because she is constantly whining about her relationship with Dan(I'm not trying to offend Derena lovers, I also like Derena too. I just like Serenate better). Blair came really close.

Hahaha rosangie exactly! Leightonfan no offense at all girl but thats the point, Blair fans totally forget about B's bad qualities (by the way I am a Blair fan too, just saying) & when somebody else does something very normal for Blair, they get bashed to no end.

can do no wrong, which is the part of her character that can annoy me sometimes :/
Serena can't do anything bad, and if Blair does what she normally does and goes
to the extremes to get her way, Serena makes Blair feel like she's a bad person always judging other people. (female version of dan?) hahah

xtorbaby, I understand why you don´t like her, I do. But does that make Serena an overrated character? I mean, comparing both girls, Blair as a HUGE fanbase. Serena doesn´t, and although she can annoy some people, I think she deserves the little love she gets.

What I meant to say was that some people seem to think that she's better than Blair
because Blair has a "bitchy" personality, and that Serena is a better friend and has a sweeter, more innocent personality.

Its not that she doesnt deserve some loving it's just that she and Dan take up so much screen time when we could be having more compelling story lines. Sometimes it just feels like the Serena show.

I think Blair is overrated because sometimes she is waaaaaay too bitchy for my taste and still everyone loves her for doing what she does.

It feels like the Chuck and Blair show to me. Although, I really don't have much of a problem with that.

Well...one example is the ep of Bart's funeral. That whole ep should have been about Chuck. But somehow Dan and Aaron want to comfort Serena and it became all about Serena's feelings when she didnt even know Bart very well.

rrpdsks, Aaron didn´t even know Bart or Chuck. The only thing he knew was that someone close to Serena had died, that´s all. Obviously, he tried to comfort her (his girlfriend) and not Chuck.

But anyway, what does that have to do with the pick?

Blair has been getting a lot more of screen time than any other character. Jenny had a major storyline at the beginning of the season.
Doesn´t Serena deserve an interesting storyline? Especially one that doesn´t involve Dan?

Blair is always plotting something.. how can she not be overrated? :S She goes beyond her way to get what she wants, but It doesn`t mean that it is a good thing and this gives her more scenes in my opinion! That is maybe one of the things why I don`t like her that much... Sometimes, She is too bitchy for my own taste!

How is Blair not winning this??? She has to be the most overrated character ever! Everyone is crazy about her, loves her to death, ignores all her flaws and I seriously don't get why. Yes, she is a good character but not as amazing and awesome as everyone makes her out to be.

i think part of the reason every1 loves blair is because she is flawed just like all humans. i believe this makes her easier to relate to and the reason she has such a huge fanbase. but she deserves that huge fanbase. Serena's amazing 2 but i feel like she's almost 2 perfect and more overrated.

How can Serena be almost perfect? She`s far from being perfect.. we`ve seen how in the past she made many mistakes, and that is one thing why I admire her more, because she managed to turn her life around and is still trying too, and she learned from her mistakes and is trying not to make them again! So you relate to someone because she`s mostly bitchy most of the time? No thank you.. I can`t relate to that!

by the way, I'm not going to lie. Blair is overrated most of the time. I'm not saying that since I love her, I'm not going to point out any of her flaws. Every character on Gossip girl has flaws. I just picked Serena because she has a tendancy to whine and complain over reasons that shouldn't be complained over. It's not like Blair is the only person that plots. Every other character on Gossip girl besides Vanessa does.

Anyway, I'm not looking for a fight, just a friendly debate. All of you guys have opinions and I respect them even if they aren't close to what my opinions are.

I guess what i'm trying to say is the writers think too much of Serena. Too me, she's just not that interesting and doen't need to be used as much as she is.

If Serena had met Poppy's boyfriend, Gabriel, while she was around Poppy, it could have been a credible SL but now he just comes out of nowhere and it seems like they're just trying to come up with stuff to shove her in there. But it is alot more interesting than Derena.

rodz, no reason to be so angry. we can both have different opinions without critizing each other. i don't relate to blair b/c shes bitchy. i relate to her b/c she tries her best to achieve her goals (ex- yale)and usually doesn't reach them. i feel serena gets her rewards(ex-yale) without working for them as much. that's y i feel she's overrated but she is still a great friend and character on the show.

but i do agree with you that blair can be bitchy but it seems like she's trying to work on that. hopefully she can fix this flaw.

It´s funny how most of you only state the reasons why you don´t like the characters and not the reasons why you think they are overrated. They are two different things, you know.

Blair had thouasnds of fans, and they ignore all her flaws and the bad things she's done. Yet, when somebody else on the show does something similar, people hate them. That's just not fair.
