In the books Kati and Isabel are kind of against her. We only see them together gossiping about Blair after Serena has returned.

I am loving what they're doing with Chuck, he's one of my favorite characters (in RL I'd slap him, but you don't have to be nice to be a good character) but I like the added depth his college drama gave him in the books.
