I wouldn't say she's hot, but I like her looks better towards the end of season 2..

She's looking better in the set pics for season 3 but I can't say until I've actually seen the episodes.

She's always been dead pretty, and I think her characters sort of been consistent. I really hope we see more of Vanessa herself in S3, more of her own storylines.

She looks prettier in the S3 photos, but still. I think her character has gotten worse since S1.

She looks prettier in the new season 3 photos! But other than that her character has gotten way worse. I use to like her season 1 but now I just can't stand her.

What is wrong with people who say she is ugly? She is beautiful, you have to admit.

I think both because in season 1 her character was even more boring with all that Dan drama. Well, now there is still drama with Nate and everything but she is just a little better.

And even though I'm a girl I think she's pretty.

I think inherently the problem with this character is that it doesn't fit in the conjunction of the rest of the cast. All other characters are tied into the plot by some means except for hers. So, because the ties that bind are weak, badly used and badly executed she's been used as a tool for adding whimsical drama and, if you will, stir the pot, of whatever is happening on the show. The writers have had exactly 43 episodes to make her a compelling character and she still manages to be the most debated and least liked character of the show. That's just a fact, I'm not attempting to start a debate. This argument will continue until the show either ends or her character is removed. There will always be two sides of the house, albeit one side is undoubtedly smaller. In conjunction she's one of the weakest actors of the group so her storylines become to me less believable and more forced and I find myself never truly identifying with her because she lacks the ability to make her compelling and a character I root for. Once more, I'm just stating something and not attempting to start a debate, a debate on this is pure idiocy since it's not a secret that this particular question haunts this fandom more than any. Why is it that we dont have threads and threads debating Leighton's ability to act and portray Blair as a gripping individual yet threads continually pop up Vanessa's overall likeness/dislike on a continuous basis? The fact that she is now being used even more does not surprise me as I find that the writer's portrayal of Vanessa comes in waves. She enters the season with a lot of promise, they forget her near the middle of the season because they realize the storylines as not enthusing fans or media and then use her in the end to either tie up a character or stir a media explosion. Either way she ends with a weak bang and the cycle thus begins again.

As for appearances I preferred her S1 look as it distinguished her from the cast as a 'Brooklyn Girl' and I find that lately in order to make her either more likable or 'fit in' (which coincidentally is quite the opposite of what comes out of her mouth) they're losing that 'though girl, Brooklyn feel' from her and it feels forced and out of focused.
