The storylines that give her so much attention and make people worry about her. Like the Tripp thing, the upcoming car accident, her father/Carter situation, The whole Pete thing and how B, N, and C had to "save" her. Blair NEVER gets storylines like that..

i disagree i mean serena IS the main character gossip girl was created around her but in season 2 she didnt really get any storylines! in season 1 she did get the pete thing and now in season 3 she has her father/tripp/carter but season 2 was all about chuck and blair (as characters not a couple) and now this season chuck and blair arnt getting big storylines! jenny had good storylines in season 1 and 2 and i think she will get a good one this season so if you look at it in a storyline point of view i think jenny gets the most storylines with nate/vanessa and dan with the not so many storylines

yes i agree with gossipgirljade.. serena is always a mess, she doesn't do anything good, she's always in trouble... ok she's the main character but only she and dan (just a bit, he's in love with v. now) are having relationships with new people.. the others are stuck between them..

Serena just needs more help Blair can support herself it doesn't annoy me it just shows that Blair can do things for herself. LOL I don't think that makes sence I can't really explain what I'm trying to say.

Other characters are getting storylines as well... It's probably just because Serena didn't get a lot of storylines last season apart from when she was with Dan.

THANK GOD SOMEONE NOTICED!! seriously i get she is the main, but that doesnt mean she has to do a marrisa (OC) and have every storylin about her! Okay all of first season her and dan, and the 'i killed someone' crap. And then in season 2 they were either about dan or her new guy. But then from episode 20 and on wards is when every storyline was about her!, Like ep 20, she thought she was boring and threw jennys birthdays party, ep 21, got 'married' to Gabriel, ep 22 found out Gabriel was in some scheme, ep 23 trying to find gabriel/poppy, ep 24 got arrested ep 25, trying to take down gossip girl, and then at the end she just randomly wanted to see her dad, wtf?!? and now every single season 3 storyline has been about her. There are way more interesting characters, and people wonder why the ratings are so low

^^ I agree! I mean thats probally the reason why i dont like serena, is the fact that everything is about her. I mean the ratings in season 2 started dropping around episode 20, and thats when everything became about serena. I mean if you told me to pick my 5 favourite episodes they would probally be 1x09, 1x07 or 1x13 (cant choose), 2x13, 2x14, 2x15. All these episodes had really nothing to do with her and they are my favourite episodes.

i also think that they should make more of the stoylines about chuck or blair (together and apart) because they are the two most popular characters, and have the most depth. Whereas serena kinda seems to be 1 demensional, but thats just my opinion :D

I agree that Josh made Serena a very messy character who always gets into trouble and needs to be saved. It's like he personally hates Serena or something. He almost completely changed her perfect with no flaws character from the books.

I disagree. I mean, I know S's gotten a few good, interesting storylines, but so have the other characters.
B's bulimia, for instance. I mean, I know that was only one episode (though, I think they should've inlvolved it a little more, or invlove it a little more, now), but it's a big part of her character, and it's a good storyline.
Also, Bart's death was a really big part of one of C's storylines - how he dealt with it, etc.
N's dad - going to jail and rehab - was a big part of his storyline.

And those are only a few storylines. All I'm saying is, Serena's not the only one with storylines - good or bad.

Serena is NOT the only one to get storylines! She may be getting a decent focus lately, but they have all had their fair share of juicy storylines!
