I loved season two, minus the unfortunate Nate/Blair stuff towards the end.

But if I had to choose a favorite, I would go with season 2.

Season 1: Amazingness to be honest, bitchy Blair, lovely Serena & so on, love love love!
Season 2: LOVEEE, so many amazing/weird things happened, got our real taste of Chair and everything else!
Season 3: Some episodes have been dissapointing, but I'm very optimistic for the second part, I have a feeling it's going to be amazing!

Season 2, if I had to choose. I loved all the seasons a lot, but season 3 was probably the most disappointing...

Season 1 was the SHIT.

Same I love all, but so far season 1 was amazing and thats the reason I fell in love with the show. The characters were also so original in Season 1.

Season one: C/B, Queen B, Golden girl, golden boy, badass chuck, the NJBC, brooklyn boy, & derena.
Can't get any better than that.

The brilliance of Season One is the only reason I'm still watching the show. The characters were fresh, original, complex and well layered.

Season Two was very EHHHH. A lot of the depth was lost, especially from Blair and Serena's characters. It suddenly became all about making the show GLAM and BLATANTLY BITCHY and EHHH.

Season Three is just THE WORST. Cannot say anymore. The spoilers for the second half of the season sound good but I don't know how much faith I have left in the show.

They are all great! I love and hate parts of each! I don't understand why everyone is so amazed by season 1, I mean I loved it but I think out of all the seasons (for me, at least) it had the most shit, lacked continuity and wasn't as real and personable as season 2 and season 3. I agree that the characters had more depth in season 1, but if you don't unveil the layers of those characters the plot will go nowhere and there would be no point in having a show that doesn't explore and change the personalities of the characters through major and minor events. If they kept everyone like they were in season 1 everything would be the fucking same and no one would want to watch the same shit week after week, it would be like watching an MTV reality show and Gossip Girl is much more epic than that.

I think season 2 so far was my favourite. Obviously loved season 1 as well, but the second one is the best for me.
