She and Chuck are good for each other in a brother/sister kind of way. Never romantic. They used each other for sex. Not a healthy start to a relationship... But she actually has conversations with Nate. He's there for her when she's upset or in trouble. He listens to her. He was protective over her when she was planning to have sex with Damien. He saw her, clearly intoxicated, being put into a cab and he took it upon himself to find her and get her out of a compromising situation. Even after he knew she had feelings for him, he let her crash with him - making it clear that it was only as friends but still being there for her.
