Yeah and Serena has been getting really self obsorbed and pathetic... yet they're still fighting for her.

^^Guys fighting for Serena, has nothing to do with a damsel in distress storyline. Totally different things.

Anyway, the only person they really do a lot of damsel in distress storyline's are with Jenny. But she's young and most of the time it's her brother, or it's Nate. Which was sweet because he cared about her.

I don't see a problem with them.

It's only really a Nenny thing, that's how I see it.

I don't think it only a Nenny thing (even if they are the uncrowned king and queen of said scenarios).
It's a Serena thing too, the man on the show are practicly falling over themselves while trying to save/ protect her.
Even Blair tends to define her happiness over guys (= whoever she casted as prince charming this time).

How does that have anything to do with being a damsel in distress? I don't remember once Blair being in a situation that is equivalent to the scenarios of Nenny. Do you think maybe the title of this pick should be 'Do you think Gossip Girl is sexist?', because that looks more like what you're trying to say.

I didn't say that Blair is as bad as Nenny, when it comes to these things (as I already wrote above), but a big part of her reputation/ security used to be based on her relationships.
She thought she needed Nate (and Marcus?) to keep her place on top at constance, and when she lost Yale, she imediately fell for Nate, because he took care of her/ provided what she thought would make her situation safer. Same goes for that Prince in 4.01 & 4.02 (sorry, I didn't remember his Name), she was sad and hurt by Chuck, and saw him as her prince charming/ savior. May not be as obvious as Nenny, but I still think it counts.

It's not just a girls problem, either, both Dan & Nate seem to be really atracted to girls who seem to need a savior/ protector.

And I don't think you even need to ask if gg is sexist, so I guess it's normal that that plays into a lot of picks, but I asked because I think that those storylines get boring pretty soon. Not much chance for character development, ya know?
