the writers intended for serena to be the female lead and nate to be the male lead but nate was a fail so i think dan took that role in season 1. but now it seems like chuck and blair are both the leads for dan serena or nate. haha

I don't think the writers ever intended for the male lead to be Nate. It was supposed to be Dan. But come season 2, that role definitely switched to Chuck.

You pick Chuck cause you like him the most ;) But Dan is the main character. I'm not saying this only because he's my fav GG boy. I say it because it's obviously... :D I don't know what to say really but it's pretty obviously who the main male character is. And it's DAN!

LMAO!!!!?????? what? Serena isn't the main character in GG, in the first half of season 1 Serena & Blair were the main characters but now:
Serena, Blair, Dan, Chuck, Nate, and Jenny before season 4.
