The reason people don't like them are first off because most people (including me) like Chair. And second of all is it's seems that the only reason that the writers are throwing them together is because they're basically the only two that haven't dated.

Blair dating anyone outside the world of opulence and wealth is completely and totally out of character for her. She can barely tolerate the less fortunate. Let alone date them.

This is coming from a girl whose family combined income is still in the poverty zone. Blair liking or dating anyone who is a middle to low income/ non-society person completely changes her personality.
