i thought they got serena nate and blair spot on they match them really well i was really disapointed with jenny i though alexa vaga would be really good as her but i think taylor has pulled it off and vanessa is the opisite of the books lol. i also expected dan to be thin and lanky but i supose penn is good rufus and elonor aslo look so different

I agree. I was a bit disappointed when I saw who was going to play Rufus, because he was so funny and insane in the books and didn't look like some ex-rock star. But I like the changes now. :P
Leighton is perfect. Chace looks like Nate, but unfortunately he plays him like a human sleeping pill.

yeh i no he is bad at playing nate hes made him borign and i loved nate in the books

I know! Bring back pot-head Nate!! He's so much more interesting in the books. But I still hate him for going back and forth between B & S in the books, but I loved him with Blair in the books. I hate him with Blair in the show.
And I agree with all of the above about Jenny, Vanessa, Rufus.
I love Penn as Dan, but I wish they would've made him the cigarette and coffee loving poet like the books.

Lol i've only read a few, but so far i think Blair & Nate were as close as they can get, i imagined Serena REALLY different... and if Penn would've kept his hair like on John Tucker i think he would've looked a bit more like the tortured poet he's SUPPOSED to be... Chuck looks NOTHING like i imagined, and i thank God for that haha...

But the series are so different to the show. I prefer the books really. It feels more like a fantasy, glamour world in the real world. I know, sound quite weird =P

i thought:
Blair: well she looks kinda like her so well done casting her lol
serena: more beautiful (i dnt think shes prettier than b)
chuck: fat+ugly - complete opposite in the show *drools*
nate: better lookin WHERE ARE THE GREEN EYES!
dan: i never tried to imagine him
vanessa: wheres the bauld head?
jenny: where are the massive boobs?

i read all the books and my ideas of the characters changed,but wen i first saw the previews i could see who was who

Jenny looks nothing like the book describes. Blair, Serena, and Serena do. Dan's hands have to shake from drinking all of the coffee. Vanessa doesn't have the weird all black wardrobe and doc martens and shaved head.
