LGBT Question

How to deal with homophobes?

I'm quite sick of the people who openly express their hatred of LGBT people. And it ALWAYS bothers me and makes me angry or sad, even if it's just someone being an idiot on the internet. And I don't think it's healthy for me to get this upset about it!

What should I do? How do you deal with homophobes/homophobic comments?

i simply attempt to ignore them, sometimes it is difficult and some comments are horrible but there is really very little that you can do to change that persons mind

there is always someone who is going to hate for no reason. it can be your race, your religion, the fact that you use glasses. who cares, tho? as long as they don't harm you directly it is not worth getting upset about. you know who you are and that is all that metters

I'd like to tell you just to ignore it but I know it's not that easy. Just know you can't change everyone's mind. *sigh*

One thing i can tell you is fight back verbally, not with hands. I've been arrested twice because I put a kid in the hospital for calling me a F**

Well; I try to give them reasons why we're not bad people. Not many "homo's" are evil; and very little are actually going to hurt you; unless you hurt someone they love.

Myself not excluded.
