Lost Question

*SPOILER*

So I'm confused with the `two realities` at once. I thought that there are not two realities, but the second one is a flashforward. That somehow Jack's plan works in the future & they go back to the airport and then all these happen...
What do you have to say ?

It's simple. There are two alternate timelines, one where the bomb worked, and they never crashed on the island, because there is no electromagnetic force to pull them in, and there is another reality where the bomb seemed to blast them back to the present, but still on the island. Now we get to see what would have happened had the plane never crashed, and what's happening on the island now.

this is what i though at 1st but i have a few questions about it that you may or may not agree on... 1. on the origional flight desomd was not on the plane he was infact already on the island. 2. hurley did not think he was te luckiest person in the world wihch he clais to sawyer he is, after sawyer gave hin gd advice about not braggin he won the lottery as people would take advantage, but the sawyer we know was a con man and would of been the person to take advantage. 3. the origional flight consisted of boone and shannon but in the ''2nd reality'' while talkin to locke boone says he went to get his sister out of a bad relationship but it then turned out she didnt want to get out of it thus shannon not being on the plane. 4. charlie rushing to the toilet yes this happened in both realities but in the 1st reality he dropped his drugs down the toilet to hide them just before the plane started to break apart but in the 2nd reality jack has to save him as he decides to shove the bag in his mouth which gets wedged into his throat. 5. jack only recieved 1 small bottle of alcohol in the 2nd reality where in the 1st he got 2 after sayin well its not a very strong drink everything else seemed to be in order that i can think of, if i have missed any off feel free to comment

The way someone explained it to me, which seems to work in my head, is that it is not two realities, just two different periods in time. When the bomb went off 'it worked' (as Juliet said) and prevented their plane from crashing. That is what we see in the scenes on the plane. But somehow in between that time and whatever time it is on the island (I'm still not totally sure when it is then - later in 2004 or 2007 or somewhere in between - whatever time it is though it is definitely AFTER flight 815 didn't crash) something brought them all to the island. We don't know what that something is yet, but somehow, even if 815 didn't crash, everyone would have come to the island somehow.
That's the best that I can understand, at least as of now. I hope this helped!

That cant't be. If they crashed again by some other reasons, then why do they still remember everything?

they do not all remember everythin, only jack asks desmond if he knew him, which in a way he does, remember back when jack was running the steps of the stadium and he spots the other guy also doin the same thing, this was desmond who was training for his boat race. which happened b4 the plane crashed as it was desmonds fault it crashed for not pressin the button

The bomb exploded in the 70's before the Dharma Initiative built The Swan, which controlled the magnetic force that brought their plane down in the first place. Obviously the plan worked because their plane did not crash in 2004. (The plane scene is 2004 - because LOCKE is in a wheelchair, JACK is bringing his father home, CLAIRE is pregnant, etc...). It's implied that JACK feels something missing, like deja vu of the plane crash. I think eventually they all end up together again and have to save the island. They time travel back to right after the bomb exploded... I think the writer's can take it anywhere though. So I really don't think anyone can predict what's going to happen.

When Kate, Sawyer, Jack, etc. are on the island and Juliet dies, its not right after the bomb exploded because Kate says its after Desmond blew up the Hatch. It is at least 2004 at that time.

But it will be interesting to see how all of that is explained - won't it? That's really what I love about this show is that there are so many theories and messages.
