Personally I would NOT tell parents because they'd call doctors and all that bcuz they will think there is something wrong with u. I would probably tell my closest BFF and no one else
no one but if u really wanted to spit it out to someone, I would tell your trusty bff before u go nuts on telling your high school teacher {Idk}, your mom, dad, brother, sister, etc., etc., and etc.
i would tell my best friend who i can trust because me and her are both obsessed with mermaids i would also give her the spell if that's how you became one. Hope this helped!
