a mix of buckcherry, motley crue, and aerosmith because it is loud enough that it keeps me awake but its not screamo crazy music that i try to concentrate on
usually something with out lyrics, or lyrics that aren't overbearing and distracting, like The American Dollar, Small Black, Freelance Whales... it depends.
I don't listen to lyrical music when I study because it diverts my attention, so it's usually trance, house, instrumentals and electro. I go for Apparat because of the mystical tunes that keep you interested in whatever you're doing. If not, some progressive trance by Tiesto or AvB. Or some Clint Mansell or Hans Zimmer. :)
Black Veil Brides! Ive usually got their We Stitch These Wounds On,but if im in the kitchen i will listen to their Set The World On Fire album, unless im getting withdrawl symptoms then We Stitch These Wounds gets put on the CD player!Heres a track off Set The World On Fire since ive played a couple off the other album already.

Ohh yess <3 they're the best! so freaking talented they are
I like to listen to something like Nox Arcana or Midnight Syndicate when I'm trying to relax or get work done. It's pretty mellow, and it doesn't have any vocals so it doesn't distract me.
I usually either listen to soundtrack music or classical music because it has no words. Or I'll listen to songs I've heard hundreds of times so I won't be distracted by the music. It also depends on what I'm working on, if I'm working on something serious or that involves a lot of thought I'll put on wordless music or no music at all. If it's a very easy assignment, I just put on whatever.
