Later that afternoon, when Hank and Paul got home, Paul told Hank, "I have some exciting news!" Hank said, "I do too, but I'm willing to let you tell me first." Paul said, "I got a date!" Hank said, "Really? Me too!" Paul said, "That's so cool! What's she like?" Hank said, "Her name is Charity. She was at the cheerleader tryouts. What's your date like?" Paul said, "Her name is Maeve. She is in the drama club. We got the lead for the upcoming play. She came here last year, but she was scared to try out for the school plays." Hank said, "I've heard of Maeve. Isn't she the weirdo everyone says likes to eat dog cookies?" Paul said, "She never mentioned that. Besides, you can't judge someone based on a rumor." Hank said, "My date is well put together, and she's a gorgeous blonde. She's really nice." Paul said, "Oh, please! People that pretty are never nice." Hank said, "I can't believe you're still hung on that time that blonde bullied you in elementary school. You tell me not to judge someone I don't know, but you're doing the same thing!" Paul said, "Excuse me?!" Hank said, "You heard me!" Paul said, "Now you're starting to make me mad!" Hank said, "Oh, you wanna go?!" Paul said, "Yes, I do!" Just like that, it got really ugly very quickly. Just then, their father entered. He was shocked to see the two brothers who had gotten along famously for the past two years in a huge fight. He said, "Boys! That's enough!" They immediately stopped. He said, "Let's sit down and have some quiet time. Then we can talk about this." With that, he took Hank and Paul to the living room where they sat quietly for thirty minutes.
