While heading to the next town, Ash, Misty, and Brock see a sign-up list for the Vermilion Million. A 100-lap race, where the winner receives $1,000,000. The three decide to enter and try. Team Rocket also enters, no doubt they will try to cheat.

Ash is in the #91 starting in 12th, Misty is the #35 beginning 13th, and Brock, who is racing the #1, starts 32nd.
Green Flag/Start: As the 50 car field enters turn 1, Misty gets into Jessie and spins the Rocket.
Announcer #1: Oh! The #35 gets in the #60 and turns her around!
Announcer #2: Remember, there are cautions (When the field slows down for a few laps after a crash) in the Vermilion Million, but not for something like that.
Lap 2: Ash has made it up to 9th, Brock has gotten to 16th, and Misty is in 10th, drafting the #91.
Lap 17: The 2 car duo of Misty and Ash has made it's way up to 2nd and 3rd. Now, they have to pass James of TR.
Lap 19: The #13 of Meowth hits the wall, collecting 6 other cars, and the caution is out.
Lap 20: Everyone comes to Pit Road (Where you can change tires and get fuel). Ash gets out first, followed by Brock, James, #12, and #21. Misty falls to 13th.
Lap 25-Restart: Jessie has re-entered the race, after being taken out on the first lap.
Lap 27: The field goes single-file for a while.
Lap 30: Jessie wrecks Misty as a bit of revenge for the previous incident, bringing out the caution again.
Announcer #2: Both crashes have involved Team Rocket!
Lap 32-Restart: James gets a good restart, but Ash gets on the Rocket's back bumper, nearly spinning him out!
Lap 60: Ash/James break away from the field.
Lap 99: Announcer #1: Only 2 laps to go!
Lap 100: Announcer #2: Now, can James try to win this?
James now goes to the bottom line and wrecks Ash!
Announcer #2: Now, can the #91 spin across the finish line?
Announcer #1: I think he did!
Announcer #2: The checkered flag is not out, but the caution is! Looks like we will have at least 5 extra laps!

Announcer #1: Now, this changes everything! We thought the #91 would hold off the #25 and win, but now, it's anyone's race!
Announcer #2: Notice that Jessie and Meowth have re-entered the top-10! They could win, Brock and Misty might also pair up!
Announcer #1: Only one way to find out who wins!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Restart-Lap 100: Jessie gets a good jump on the restart, and gets up to 4th. While Meowth and Misty draft.
Ash and James stay in 1st and 2nd.
Lap 102: As everyone starts racing for positions, Meowth (Again) spins out, and wrecks 12 others!
Announcer #2: Yet again, Meowth crashes, this time, taking 12 others! We will have 2 laps left when we get the restart!
Announcer #1: This will get very interesting. An average fuel run at the Vermilion Raceway is about 15-20 laps. The last time they got fuel, was 20-28 laps ago. Some of them will be running out of gas.
Restart-Lap 104 (2 to go): The field enters Turn 1, and Ash and James break away from the others.
Last Lap: James hangs in 2nd, and enters turn 4, the last in the race! Ash holds onto the lead, until James goes low, and quickly closes the gap!
Announcer #2: I did NOT expect the Rocket to actually try! Now, this will be one close finish!
Announcer #1: Jessie just ran out of gas! Misty into the rear of #01! The #1 spins, and the whole field stacks up!
Announcer #2: However, at the front of the field, James and Ash race to the line! Who's going to win?
Announcer #1: Side by side, coming to the finish, and that was too close to call!
Announcer #2: 0.0001 of a second! One ten-thousandth of a second! That's all there was between the two!
Announcer #1: Official word is Ash won, by not even inches! What a thrilling finish!
