It's been here for longer than I've been on fanpop... I've heard it's been here for years. The banner has been changed, so why not the icon? I was thinking that maybe we could kind of have a petition right here on this forum. If you want a new icon for this wonderful spot, by Jonapello23. He doesn't come on very often but we could always message the link to this forum and this other one: link to him. But that probably won't work. Contacting fanpop with the links? Maybe...
