OMG, I understand you completely.

My hair's also super thick, and it's hard to handle the teasing, but I'm constantly fixing it, running my fingers up my hair to give it the volume, but now I use hair-spray and I'm going to try Gel.

But that's all I know of, I'm still having a little trouble.

yes. Definitely use a LOT of products in your hair. Actually my problem's the opposite: I can't get my hair to stay down where it needs to.

But as far as makeup... I found this video really helpful...
also what I do that they don't cover in the video is that if you really want that cat eye effect, use a liquid eyeliner to be more accurate. Also it makes whatever pencil you put on look darker.

but the thing is, i think it's better to go less dark if you really wanna be scene, it depends though, if you're wearing super bright clothing and hair, you should use this, really dark eye make up, but if you're wearing really dark clothing, IF you wanna be scene, it's better to go brighter on the make up.

I get that this was posted a while ago, but if yore still looking for tips try spraying your hair spray up instead of down on your hair, also volumizing powders are like Jesus. i also is got2be glued hairspray and it works really well.
