I got into sitemodeling briefly and I did it through Facebook...basically they're profiles dedicated entirely to sitemodels. Usually their titles will say "such-and-such elite" or "blah blah blah sitemodeling". If you look at their info page it'll tell you how to apply to become a sitemodel. Mostly all you have to do is answer a few questions about yourself, send in some pictures and promise to promote them. The questions are usually about your style and who influences you and just random stuff. Basically I think they are screening to make sure you're not a poser or a fake or anything. They will ask you to send in anywhere between 3-8 pictures, and often you will have to make a "proof banner" to make sure you are not faking. Basically what this banner is, is just you writing a password or the name of the sitemodeling agency on a piece of paper or on your hand. You DO NOT edit it in.

They will contact you if you are accepted. Once you are accepted, it's vital that you continuously update them with any new pictures that you take. It's alright to edit photos at this stage, and often they will have contests like "best kitty" where you take a themed photo of yourself. Make sure you follow the guidelines and be nice to everyone. I actually got my pictures taken off one site because I didn't keep them updated regularly. In the end, it really is a commitment, but if that's what you're into, then you could get some serious attention if you are involved with enough sites.
