Oh my...I'm so sad right now:( yesterday I emailed Anne Rice and her reply was so disappointing for me... I asked her why did Louis was so hesitating with Lestat in the books and she answerd: ''Louis did not reciprocate. He couldn't'' :(

I think that you do not have to be so sad, as anne by saying that "He couldn't" could have meant that Louis could not show his true feelings, not that he did not FEEL it. I always thought that Louis truly loved Lestat, but was afraid to show it, as thought that Lestat did not feel the same way. I think they both misunderstood each other and, if they were a little bit more open to each other, then... the story would have a happy ending.
