make sure your signed in.
first look for you youtube account name at the top right corner with a little arrow pointing down.
scroll up to it but don't click on it.
then you will see: Account, My Videos, favourites and Playlists. click on account. then click on overview on the new page that comes up.
you will see your icon and under it "change" click on change. a thing will pop up. click browse and your documents will come up. click on the thing you want your icon to be and click open.

on utube? go to ur youtube account/ My Account
then go to profile setup and there are an 'change picture' options. browse your file, upload and you're done. i think 100x100 resolution is the best. i dont think this link may works but try? link
