Anderson Cooper’s dog Molly died Monday. Cooper posted a pair of photos on Instagram in a sweet sendoff. One was captioned “An old picture of my sweet dog Molly, who passed away today.”

An old picture of my sweet dog Molly, who passed away today.

A self-proclaimed dog lover, Cooper introduced Molly, a Welsh Springer Spaniel, to the world on his talk show Anderson Live in 2011 and even spoke about her in a 60 minutes segment on whether dogs love us.

“The idea that a dog looking at you is ‘hugging you with their eyes’ to me, is really kind of cool,” Cooper said.
