Donovan Patton played Joe, the second star of the original Blue's Clues series. Joe was introduced towards the end of the fourth season before becoming the host of the series. Steven Burns played Steve, the original star of the original Blue's Clues series. After starring in four seasons and one movie, Steven passed the role of host down to Donovan Patton's Joe because he wanted to focus on other things. For a while, it seemed like he wouldn't come back to the Blue's Clues franchise. Blue's Clues was a very popular show in the 1990s. It lasted for six seasons and ended in the early 2000s. However, that was not the end of Blue's adventures.
