Introduction
Sheep's head is a popular 5-player card game which my friends and I played constantly in college. It originally came from 19th-century Bavaria as "Schafskopfen", and collectors can find versions of the original, specialized card deck available online. However, the modern version is played with 32 cards of a standard poker deck, each with a different point value and strength. The object of the game is to win the most points by winning hands, which have various point values and multipliers. Simply put, each hand is won by taking tricks of cards with high values.
