It was called ‘Everybody Wants Some!!’ Actor Glen Powell on Bromances, ‘Scream Queens’ | Variety
Here's some stuff I remembered seeing:
Richard Linklater on “Fast Food Nation,” Glen Powell reunites with the director in “Everybody Wants Some!!,” a follow-up to 1993’s retro “Dazed and Confused.” In prepping for the ’80s-set film, the actors lived on Linklater’s ranch for three weeks. “Even though he’s one of the biggest directors in the world, nothing has ever gotten to his head,” says Powell, whose mother and cousins appear in the pic.

Lock in the experience of making the movie before you share it with the world. What happens a lot of the time is that box office or reviews will dictate the movie after the fact. … You have to savor and remember what a perfect film experience it was.
I’m a huge, huge fan. It’s funny because growing up in Austin, it almost feels like a love song to being youthful in Texas. We’re excited to share it with everybody.
What do you remember about working with Linklater on “Fast Food Nation?”
I fractured my wrist playing baseball, so I had this big pink cast on my arm when I was supposed to be filming. I was like, ‘Oh my God, I’m going to be fired from a Richard Linklater movie!’ But he was like, ‘This is so perfect! There was always a kid in high school with a broken arm.’ It shows who Rick is as a person — nothing is ever a problem; it’s always go with the flow, go with authenticity, go with truth.
Glen Powell Doesn’t Even Know His ‘Scream Queens’ Season 2 Storyline
Were the ‘80s clothes you wear in the movie uncomfortable?
The clothes were very, very tight. My mom was saying, the clothes were so tight you could tell what religion you are!
You’re pretty fratty in both this and “Scream Queens.” What project has the better bromance?
That’s a great question. The Dicky Dollar Scholars are a little bit of a cartoon bromance. “Everybody Wants Some!!” is probably a little more realistic. I didn’t realize that my brand was bromance!
