I don't think it sucks as much as people like to say. I mean it's not perfect but she also has a lot to be thankful for.

At least her parents are still living and love her. Her mom's not perfect but who would you rather have as a parent;

and whether loosing yale or not is her fault, she still lost it. She still lost her dream. Something she has spent years of perfecting, gone. And if you read the book (blairs book character is EXACTUALLY like the tv character in every way) you would just see things more clearly about her life, and about how she feels. Chuck and blair have been through equal amounts of pain i think :)

I think a lot of bad things that happen to blair, she is the one who bring them to herself. I am not saying she has an easy life, but she loves to complicate it. The whole yale situation for example, or when she tricked to chuck to get a stupid speech.

OH MAN amazing point as usual Lucy ^, I agree, I think Blair has had some things coming and I sort of feel she has the easiest out of the four because *some* things that go wrong in her life are her fault unlike the others, death and jail and things are trauma that are out of their hands.

Okay, I've thought about this, and I'm going to ask you guys one question: Whose life would YOU rather have?
Would you want Chuck's? His mother died giving birth to him (maybe, but as of know in the show, that's what he, and the viewers, believe), and his father never showed him any love or affection while growing up, leading Chuck to believe that Bart blamed him for his mom's death, and Chuck also BLAMED HIMSELF. Also, Bart called him a screw up and a disappointment on numerous occasions. The one girl he ever loved, Blair, chose his best friend over him, and that hurt him a lot. Then, Bart died, sending him into a terrible downward spiral. His uncle, the only family he has left, is a lying, manipulative bastard who used Chuck and stole Bass Industries from him. And he slept with Blair while Chuck was grieving over Bart's death. Chuck sure has a fantastic life, right? (sarcasm)
Would you like to have Nate's life? His dad had a drug addiction, and was charged with fraud and embezzlement. Then his dad fled the country, which caused Nate and his mom to lose their money and their home, and he wasn't speaking to his grandfather. His father returned, and Nate had to force him to turn himself into prison. Oh, and this season, he's been rejected numerous times from Serena, who he loves.
Would you like to have Serena's life? Her dad abandoned her at a very young age, and she barely has any memories of him. Lily, up until Serena returned from boarding school, only cared about her various lovers and not her children. She frequently jetted off with her many boyfriends/husbands and left Serena and Eric home. Serena had to practically raise her little brother. Now, Serena is faced with the knowledge that her father wants nothing to do with her, and she was trying to find him, but he won't see her. Great childhood Serena had, no?
And now Blair. She has two parents who love her, especially her dad Harold. Eleanor might not have shown it in the past, but she loves her daughter, and ever since she's been with Cyrus, she's been a good mother, in my opinion. Plus, Dorota is a maternal figure to her, and she clearly loves and will take care of Blair. Harold is gay, therefore causing him and Eleanor to get divorced, but many children deal with divorce. It doesn't mean they have terrible lives. Plus, Roman, Harold's boyfriend, cares a lot about Blair. So does Cyrus. Blair was bulimic, and she felt insecure next to Serena. But Serena supported her all throughout the course of her disease, and so did her parents. She has overcome it. Nate cheated on her with Serena, and that hurt her a lot. I just don't think that the issues Blair has faced are as severe as the ones the other characters have, especially Chuck. I'm not saying Blair has had a completely easy, amazing life; she hasn't. But I would take her life over the others any day.

Chuck and Blair have equal amount of issues, i just feel that chucks ones make him more vulnerable, which he doesnt like to feel. However when he does its easily shown and thats why we feel so sorry for him, same goes with blair, except she covers it up better. Overall out of the four, chuck has had the worst things happen to him so i went with chuck.

Agree with livelydebate and seriously all about parents is true - Eleanor isn't maybe amazing parent but Blair has Harold who is the best from them all for sure. And ok Serena and Nate hurt her but come on they all have really messed up love lifes.
